How J D'Cruz Began
J D'Cruz was founded in 2012 by textile designer Jasmine Gilhooly. Jasmine's background is in print and she graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) in Textiles Design from Birmingham City University. After graduating, Jasmine exhibited her collection of handprinted leathers in London at the New Designers show where she was scouted by Jimmy Choo.
When Jasmine completed her internship at Jimmy Choo, she decided to really push her business dream and continue designing and selling her hand-printed leathers and had a collection of handbags made. Due to the nature of the printing process no two bags are ever the same. Jasmine bases prints predominantly around British Architecture and daily travels.
The brand quickly gained momentum and with interest going global, Jasmine has been able to realise her dream of becoming one of the UK's most exciting, up and coming British Fashion Accessory Designers at the young age of 26. Her aim is to create innovative, individual and beautiful designs that are a statement as well as functional and light to carry.
J D'Cruz operates a full working print studio and leather workshop with a showroom to showcase the full collection.
Jasmine also holds an MA from The Royal College of Art.
